Mutt Day
December 2nd, 2011 No comments »
National Mutt Day raises awareness of mixed breed dogs in shelters around the nation and to educate the public about the mixed breed dogs that are desperately waiting for a forever home.

Many a famous mutt has come from a shelter. One of the county’s most famous movie dogs, Benji was a Spaniel mix adopted from the Burbank Animal Shelter. Closer to home in March of this year, Enzo was adopted from the Utah Animal Adoption Center. Enzo is training to be a search and rescue dog. B. Sayer, Enzo’s human partner writes, “I am pleased to have saved a life so he can on day save a human life.”
So please visit your local sheldter and find a new friend today! If you can’t adopt a mixed breed friend on December 2nd, please donate at least $5 to your local animal shelter, as they all need financial assistance and very dollar counts!

“Pets and Vets need Techs”
When we visit the veterinarian we are assisted by a vet tech. National Veterinary Technician week is to educate the public about veterinary technicians and what they do for us. During the week vet techs promote the value and professionalism they provide to the pet industry. Remember to thank your vet tech next time you visit the veterinarian.
“Pets and Vets need Techs” and we agree!
