A Mother’s Day Poem from the Cat
Having fun with yarn and string,
Leaving fur on everything,
Purring when I get a treat,
Always landing on my feet,
Posing on a windowsill,
Staring like I want to kill,
Leaping with both skill and grace,
Acting like I own the place,
Playing with your rolled-up socks,
Visiting the litter box,
Seeing who I can ignore,
Deciding who’s the biggest bore,
Taking naps on top of you…
These are the things I love to do!
Happy Mother’s Day
April 27th, 2011
April 28th is “Paw it Forward” Day, based on the human story of “Pay it Forward”. For all animal lovers it is a great time to remember the people and animals in your area who could use a helping hand.
The principal behind this program is that you “pay forward” any help or favors that you receive. You do something nice for someone. If they ask how they can repay you, you tell them to “pay it forward” and do something nice for someone else. Better yet, why not be the initiator and start the “Paw it Forward” act of kindness.
Every shelter can use help of some kind – from money to food, bedding and toy donations. Volunteer, get your friends and/or organization to provide scheduled, recurring service. Many of the employees that work at shelters work tirelessly to rescue, comfort and place animals in forever homes. Any service, supplies and donations is appreciated by the staff.

March 23 is National Puppy Day.
Everbody loves puppies. Corey is one of our mascots, can you guess which one he is in the picture?

Bucket of fluffy love.
Hana and Boo just lounging around.

These two are just puppies. I bet both don't fit in the bed now!
Can you believe Panda was left at the animal shelter? Think adoption first!

Panda was rescued by Utah Animal Adoption Center.
