“National Mustard Day”

National Mustard Day is August 6!

Did you know there is a Mustard Museum? Established in 1992, the National  Mustard Museum has long been a favorite destination for visitors and has drawn international media attention.  You can even ”Like” it on Facebook.

Last Saturday I participated in a fundraiser for the Utah Animal Adoption Center.  We had 9 dogs with us looking for their forever home.  As I was walking and talking with friends and volunteers, I held some of our dogs.  That’s how I met Kramer. 

Kramer was a stray that was picked up by an animal control agency.  His waiting time had expired, but not his luck!  Our dog manager brought Kramer to our facility with several other dogs needing a loving home.

 As I walked around, Kramer just hung out as I carried him on the side of my hip.  His crazy hair, casual demeanor and occasional kisses had all the girls falling for him.  I’m sure Kramer will find a loving home with so many admirers; he surely tugged on my heart strings. 

 October is Adopt-a-shelter dog month.  If you are considering a new furry family member; please visit your local shelters and adoption centers.  There are so many dogs waiting for forever homes and you might find that special ‘star’ waiting for you there.

Watch these Weiner Dogs off to the races.  Disabled dogs just want to be dogs.  They offer the same love and affection as other dogs.  Horses and cats are the same way.  Consider adopting a disabled animal, it will warm your heart.
